The state of Alabama is FINALLY taking hoops seriously!
Is this part of the SEC/Big East Challenge?
It's interesting that the previous head-to-head Big East-vs-SEC Challenge match-ups have resulted in a dead tie (8-8, I think?). And it's a relief that Alabama gets to be the host for this one. I wonder how far our Home-Court Victory Streak can get extended through next season? Another undefeated home-court season would be awesome, and certainly feasible in my opinion despite the threat of UF and UT.Is Georgetown expected to be tougher next year? Rivals Preseason Top 25 only has 4 Big East Teams ranked (Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Louisville, UConn).I think we might expect some more high-quality opponents next fall to elevate our RPI, and I agree with the earlier posting that it would have been nicer to have the opportunity to defeat a Top-10 ranked team from the Big East at Home.
Georgetown loses their top two players from this year's team, but they've got some good players returning, a solid incoming class, and I think John Thompson III is a great coach. I love the system they run at Georgetown. That will be a tough one.
