Texas A&M preview

They've had an interesting last 2 games... won at Kentucky and got throttled at home against Florida (the class of this really bad conference). Looking at who they've played so far, the only impressive win was in Lexington... but this ain't the Kentucky we are used to. They have lost @ Oklahoma, @ St Louis, and to Southern at home.

Season Stats

Elston Turner is the guy to watch... he can score (16.3) as UK found out. A&M have 3 that can hit 3s at over a 40% clip in Turner, Fabyon Harris, and J'Mychal Reese. Defending the perimeter is huge against them as their post player Ray Turner while putting in 11.2/game isn't going to be the difference-maker in this one. We should be able to nullify him with Gueye/Jacobs. At least I hope that is the case.

Hopefully Releford is back today as we'll need his scoring and his ability to penetrate the lane. Cooper has been a pleasant surprise with his mid-range jumper which could open up the inside if Jacobs can build on his game @ $tate.

Some numbers:
- 65.4 PPG (59.9- defensive)
- +3.3 rebound margin
- .451/.385 FG/3pt FG
- .701 FT

We have a winnable next 5 games. Not that I think this team is going to the NCAAT, but win the next 5 and things get interesting in conference play.

Game time is 6PM EST on FSN.

Huge win for us to pull it out like that. Take it one game at a time, the next one is our biggest of the year. Beat Kentucky. Roll Tide

If we beat Kentucky we have a good chance to go on a really nice run because of a pretty soft SEC schedule. There is a 10 game stretch in between Kentucky and Florida where the only game against a good team is Arkansas and they aren't really amazing. We need 24 wins to get into the tournament imo because of the bad non conference losses.
